During extrusion, temperature, screw speed, die gap, cooling speed, and roller pressure must be carefully controlled. If the process is unstable, the acrylic sheet may show flow marks, bubbles, uneven thickness, color deviation, or internal stress. These issues can become more visible after the sheet is used in LED lighting or backlit display products.
For optical diffuser applications, acrylic sheets may be adjusted with diffusion particles, surface texture, matte treatment, or optical pattern processing. A good acrylic diffuser sheet should not only transmit light. It should scatter light evenly, reduce visible LED dots, and maintain enough brightness for the final fixture. This is why haze and transmission need to be tested together, not separately.
