Where Found: Office ceilings, fluorescent troffer lights.
How to Remove:
Push the panel gently upward into the ceiling grid.
Tilt one side down.
Lower the panel diagonally through the opening.
Where Found: Fluorescent shop lights or long ceiling fixtures.
How to Remove:
Support the diffuser with both hands.
Gently squeeze the sides inward (they flex slightly).
Pull down—one edge will release first, then the other.
Where Found: Some LED panels and older ceiling fixtures.
How to Remove:
Look for metal or plastic clips around the edge of the fixture.
Press or rotate the clips to release.
Lower the diffuser carefully.
Where Found: Decorative ceiling fixtures, wall sconces.
How to Remove:
Check for visible screws or caps holding the diffuser.
Loosen screws evenly while holding the diffuser to prevent it from falling.
Lower the diffuser gently once screws are removed.
Where Found: Dome lights or recessed trims.
How to Remove:
Grip the diffuser firmly with both hands.
Rotate counterclockwise (for twist-lock types) or pull gently downward (for spring clips).
If it resists, check for small tabs or notches along the edge.
Always turn off power before working with light fixtures.
Wear safety glasses and gloves, especially with glass diffusers.
Support large panels with both hands—they can crack or fall easily.
