PMMA is widely used in LED diffuser sheets because standard clear acrylic can reach about 92% light transmission under ASTM D1003 testing. For diffuser applications, transmission is usually adjusted to around 80%–92% depending on lamp structure. Higher transmission supports brightness, while higher haze helps cover LED dots and improve visual comfort.
